Grab Hire

We now provide fast, efficient Grab Hire in Edinburgh, West Lothian and Falkirk!

Our Grab Hire Service

Buchanan Skip Hire now provides a ‘Muck Away’ Grab Hire service across West Lothian, Edinburgh and Falkirk.

Our grab loaders enable us to quickly and efficiently remove large quantities of spoil and waste from your site. They are particularly useful in situations where space is limited or access is difficult and it would not be possible to use skips or other large waste containers.

Another benefit of using grab loaders is that it will save you the time and effort associated with filling a skip.

All you have to do is pile up your waste on a covered surface and one of our lorries will come and clear it quickly and with minimum disruption for yourself.

We also now supply a wide range of Zero Waste Scotland certified recycled aggregates from our fully licensed site in Livingston.

Supplying 4mm recycled sand, recycled type 1 and 6F5. These materials are suitable for use in building sites, road construction and general fill and can be delivered via our Grab Lorry.

Our focus is on recycling rubble and soil that we receive from construction/demolition jobs. We ensure that our customers can be confident that all aspects of their waste are being handled in sustainable way.

F.A.Q.

We get asked a lot of questions from our customers relating to Grab Hire services. We have answered some of the more common ones for you here:
What types of waste can the Grab Lorry Remove?
Our Grab Loaders specialize in removing inert (soil/rubble) waste from sites.
How much would inert waste would the Grab remove from my site?
We have an 8 wheel grab loader, which means that it can remove up to 16 tonnes of soil/rubble per load. To put this into perspective, this would be around two 8YD skips filled with soil.
Can the Grab Loader be used to deliver aggregates?
Yes, we deliver a range of recycled aggregates from our fully licenced site. Visit our aggregates page for more details.
What should I do with the waste before the grab arrives?
Ideally, all of your Inert Waste will be in one pile – if possible, on a wooden board to protect any surfaces that are underneath. This ensures that the grab can gather the waste efficiently and conveniently.
