Spring has well and truly begun here at Buchanan Skip Hire, and is traditionally the busiest time of the year for ourselves. However, in addition to all the skips we have been delivering, we have also had quite a few other things going on. Have a look below to see what else we have been up to!
Skip Delivery!
We have recently taken delivery of 24 brand new skips (see above image!) to help keep up with demand. Spring is a very busy time for us, especially with so many of our customers having Spring Clearouts! Give the team a call on 01506 411141 if you’re thinking about having one yourself!
New Truck on the Road!
Another new truck is arriving with us this month, and it is yet another brand new Volvo! The new 18t Skip lorry is being brought in as part of our continuous fleet renewal policy, and will be on the road from June 2019. Pictures to follow very soon!
Supporting the Local Community
We are delighted to announce that we are continuing our sponsorship of Bathgate Thistle CFC under 11s. Hopefully the boys like their new kits, and we wish them all the very best of luck for next season!
Buchanan Skip Hire are also proud to be sponsoring the upcoming Forth District Children’s Gala Day. This is one of our driver’s home towns and we were more than happy to lend our support to such a long running event! Best wishes to the Queen, her court and all involved. Let’s hope for a lovely sunny day! The Gala Day takes place in Forth on the 15th of June 2019.
New Weighbridge
Ground works have started on our new weighbridge. The 16.5m weighbridge will be installed by Avery and will allow larger vehicles to be weighed in/out at our yard in Livingston. This will allow us to remove greater quantities of waste in one vehicle, reducing the number of trips made to recycling centres etc. This will increase efficiency and reduce fuel consumption. The weighbridge will be operational from June 2019.
