The sun is shining, coronavirus restrictions are being slowly eased and it’s almost time to get the garden furniture out for BBQ season.

Who would have believed that over a year has passed from the initial coronavirus lockdown – what happened to 2020?!

Like everyone, we’ve had to change, modify and adapt our old ways of delivering and collecting skips in order to keep everyone safe.

We changed  our skip hire methods – our office can only accept payment via card in order to remove the handling of cash and the risk of transmission. We’ve also stopped our drivers from getting customers to sign receipts when delivering their skips.

We modified  – installing plastic screens, barriers, hand gel stations, face masks and installing air purifying systems to clean our office work environment.

We adapted  – our operations have been significantly improved with new technology. We now use an improved satellite tracking system for our vehicles, Infra red sensors to secure our yard, new Voip phone system to communicate with our team and customers and we’ve moved a lot of our normal office work onto the cloud based OneDrive

Given these improvements, from the customers perspective our skip hire delivery and collection service can now be completely contactless.

As Dolly Parton once said “We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails.”
